A card show that's always open

Your cards, under glass.

Hobby Showcase puts your real collection in a display case, with your own photos, your own sticker prices and a ✓ for every card you prove is yours. Next to it sits a digital case you fill by ripping packs, grading, building sets and trading with friends.

Hobby Showcase is invite-only for now. Got an invite link? Open it to make your account.

The physical case

Your real collection, the way you'd lay it out at a show.

  • Find a card in the catalog, or type in any card or piece of memorabilia.
  • Toploaders, one-touches, and slabs for graded cards, with a link to check the cert (PSA, BGS, SGC, CGC, TAG).
  • Your own sticker price, on white tape in black marker. No sticker, no price.
  • No photo yet? Every card is drawn in its team's colours, or shows another collector's shared photo of the same card.

The digital case

Hobby Showcase's own Series One cards for hockey, basketball, baseball and football.

  • Rip packs with Hobby Coins you earn on the site. Coins are never bought or cashed out.
  • Chase numbered parallels and special cards: Showcase Patch /99, Signature Series /25 and one Grail 1/1 per set.
  • Grade with HSG: the condition is set when the pack opens, and grading only reveals it. Every grade is permanent.
  • Finish sets for rewards, list cards on the market, and trade card-for-card with friends.

Verified means verified

Anyone can type in a card. The ✓ Verified badge is for cards someone has proved they own:

  1. Get a one-time codeOpen the card and ask to verify it. The code is new each time, so it can't come from an old photo or one found online.
  2. Photograph the card with itPut the card beside a slip of paper with the code and your @handle on it. A graded card also needs its cert number.
  3. An admin checks itThe code, the card and the cert (with the grader) are checked by a person. Only then does the badge go on. Verification photos stay private.

Change what a card is (player, set, number, grade or cert) and the badge comes off until it's checked again.

Fair by design

Published oddsEvery chance is on How it works, and every card with its odds is on All cards.
Real print runsA Gold /50 is one of fifty on the whole site. When a numbered card runs out, it's gone.
Grades you can checkEvery HSG slab has a certificate anyone can look up, with its subgrades and a population report.
Private until you say soBoth cases start private. Switch one to Public and friends see it at your own address, hobbyshowcase.ca/u/you.
